FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

About the Product

"Is this one of those detox foot pads?"

No. Let's be very clear about this: SoleHaven is not a detox product.

Those products claim to "pull toxins through your feet," which is pseudoscience that's been debunked by the FTC. Your liver and kidneys handle detoxification—your feet don't eliminate toxins.

SoleHaven Sleep is a foot-warming system designed to trigger the thermoregulation mechanism that controls sleep onset. It's based on published research from Nature journal showing that warm feet accelerate the core temperature drop your body needs to fall asleep.

Completely different mechanism. Completely different purpose. We're a sleep product, not a detox product.

"How is this different from just wearing socks?"

Socks can help a little, but they're not optimized for sleep onset. Here's why:

  • They fall off: Ever wake up with your socks across the room? Not helpful.
  • They're not engineered: Socks provide passive insulation. SoleHaven delivers active, sustained warming specifically calibrated for the sleep-onset temperature range.
  • Comfort matters: Many people find socks restrictive or uncomfortable overnight. SoleHaven is designed for 8-hour wear comfort.
  • Consistency: The thermal properties of SoleHaven are optimized for sustained heat delivery. Socks vary wildly in effectiveness.

If socks worked well for you, you wouldn't be here researching alternatives.

"Why does the pad turn dark overnight?"

The bamboo vinegar and wood vinegar in the patches react chemically with moisture from your feet (sweat and water vapor). This oxidation process turns them dark brown or black—the same way a cut apple turns brown.

It's not "toxins being pulled out." You could spray water on an unused patch and it would darken. It's basic chemistry, not detoxification.

The color change is irrelevant to how SoleHaven works. The warming mechanism that helps you fall asleep has nothing to do with the darkening—that's just a side effect of the moisture-absorbing ingredients keeping you comfortable.

We could spin that dark color as "proof" of detox like other companies do. But we'd rather tell you the truth.

"What's actually in these patches?"

A thermal botanical blend designed for sustained foot warming and overnight comfort:

  • Bamboo Vinegar & Wood Vinegar — Gentle warming activators
  • Tourmaline — Natural mineral that generates far-infrared warmth
  • Loquat Leaf & Houttuynia Cordata — Anti-inflammatory botanicals
  • Vitamin C — Antioxidant for skin comfort
  • Chitin & Dextrin — Support ingredient delivery and stability

No harsh chemicals. No pharmaceutical ingredients. Full ingredient transparency on every package.

About Results

"How long until I notice results?"

Most people notice they fall asleep faster within the first 2-3 nights. Some people feel the difference the very first night.

This isn't a long-term hormone adjustment or habit change—it's triggering an immediate physiological response (vasodilation → core cooling → sleep onset). If the mechanism works for you, you'll know quickly.

That said, we recommend using it for at least a full week to assess consistently, since sleep can vary night to night for other reasons.

"Will this work for me?"

If you struggle to fall asleep AND you have cold feet at night, the physiological mechanism applies to you. Warm feet trigger vasodilation, which enables the core temperature drop needed for sleep onset—that's universal human physiology.

It works best for:

  • People who take 30+ minutes to fall asleep
  • People whose feet are cold at bedtime
  • People with racing minds but no underlying sleep disorder

It might not work if:

  • You fall asleep easily but wake up frequently (different issue)
  • You have diagnosed sleep apnea or restless leg syndrome (consult your doctor)
  • Your feet are already warm at night (not the limiting factor)

We offer a 60-day money-back guarantee precisely because we can't predict every individual response—but if cold feet are preventing your sleep trigger, SoleHaven addresses that.

"What if it doesn't work for me?"

You get your money back. Simple as that.

We offer a 30-night guarantee because we're confident in the research—but we also know everyone's physiology is slightly different. If you have second thoughts about SoleHaven within 30 days, contact us for a full refund.

No complicated returns process. No guilt trips. Just email us and we'll process it.

About Usage

"How do I use these?"

  1. Clean and dry your feet before bed
  2. Apply one patch to the sole of each foot (the adhesive keeps it in place)
  3. Go to sleep normally — the patches work overnight
  4. Remove and discard in the morning

That's it. No complicated routine, no special prep, no maintenance.

"Can I use these every night?"

Yes. SoleHaven is designed for nightly use and is safe for long-term use.

Unlike melatonin (which can affect your body's natural production over time), SoleHaven works with your existing physiology rather than altering it. You're just giving your body the foot warmth it needs to trigger sleep—nothing more.

"Will they stay on all night?"

Yes. The patches have medical-grade adhesive designed for overnight wear. They stay securely in place even if you move around in your sleep.

(Unlike socks, which have a mysterious ability to teleport across your bedroom overnight.)

"Are they comfortable?"

They're designed specifically for overnight comfort. The patches are thin, flexible, and contour to your foot. Most people forget they're wearing them within minutes.

If you've ever worn a bandage overnight or a TENS unit pad, the comfort level is similar—barely noticeable after initial application.

"Can I wear socks over them?"

You can, but most people don't need to. The patches generate their own warmth, and adding socks on top can actually make your feet too warm (which isn't the goal).

If you're used to wearing socks to bed and want to continue, try SoleHaven alone first for a few nights. You might find you don't need the socks anymore.

About Safety

"Are these safe?"

Yes. SoleHaven uses natural botanical ingredients with a long safety profile. No harsh chemicals, no pharmaceuticals, no known allergens in the formula.

However, you should NOT use SoleHaven if:

  • You have open wounds or broken skin on your feet
  • You have a known allergy to any listed ingredient
  • You're pregnant or nursing (consult your doctor first)
  • You have diabetes or neuropathy (consult your doctor first)

When in doubt, ask your healthcare provider. We're a sleep product, not a medical treatment.

"Can I use these if I'm taking sleep medication?"

SoleHaven is a topical foot-warming product, not a pharmaceutical, so there are no known drug interactions.

That said, if you're on prescription sleep medication, please consult your doctor before trying any new sleep solution—even a non-pharmaceutical one like SoleHaven.

"Are they safe for my partner/pets?"

The patches are safe in a household with partners and pets. They contain natural ingredients that aren't harmful if touched.

That said, don't let pets chew on them (not because they're dangerous, but because... why would you?). And keep the used patches out of reach of small children—the dark, damp appearance might be off-putting or confusing.

About Ordering

"Is this a subscription?"

This is currently not available-

You can purchase SoleHaven as a one-time order:

  • You choose the frequency (every 4, 12, or 24 weeks)
  • No sneaky charges or commitments
  • You get priority customer support if you choose priority handling

We want you to try SoleHaven without pressure.

"How much does it cost per night?"

About $1.20-1.40 per night depending on which pack you choose.

For context:

  • That's less than your morning coffee
  • Cheaper than melatonin + the caffeine you need to fight the grogginess
  • A fraction of what you spent on that weighted blanket that didn't help
  • Significantly less than a prescription sleep aid

And unlike most sleep solutions, this one actually targets the mechanism research shows matters.

"What size pack should I order?"

1 Month Supply: Try it risk-free for four weeks. Good for testing if the mechanism works for you.

3 Month Supply: Most popular. Covers a full quarter of better sleep.

6 Month Supply: Best price per night. For people who've tried SoleHaven and know it works.

New to SoleHaven? Start with the 1 Month Supply. You can always reorder after you've experienced the results.

"How quickly will it ship?"

Orders placed before 2pm EST ship same day. Most customers receive their order within 5-7 business days.

We know you're not sleeping well right now. We don't want you waiting two weeks to try a solution.

About the Science

"Where's the research?"

The primary study is from Nature journal (1999): "Warm feet promote the rapid onset of sleep" by Kräuchi et al. It found that distal vasodilation (warming of hands and feet) is the strongest physiological predictor of fast sleep onset.

Additional research from the Journal of Physiological Anthropology (2018) found that foot warming reduced sleep onset by 7.5 minutes and increased total sleep time by 32 minutes.

We're happy to share the full citations and studies. This isn't proprietary "research" from our lab—it's published, peer-reviewed science that we're applying to a consumer product.

"If this works so well, why haven't I heard of it?"

Good question. A few reasons:

  1. The research exists, but nobody built a product around it. Scientists proved warm feet trigger faster sleep 25+ years ago, but the foot pad category was dominated by detox pseudoscience. Nobody was applying real physiology.
  2. "Foot pads" have a bad reputation thanks to those detox scams. Most people dismiss the category entirely without looking at the mechanism.
  3. We're new. SoleHaven just launched. We're bringing science-backed credibility to a category that desperately needed it.

You're hearing about it now because someone finally decided to do this correctly.

"Why feet specifically? Why not warm my whole body?"

Because warming your core is actually counterproductive for sleep.

Your body needs to DROP its core temperature to initiate sleep. It accomplishes this by sending warm blood to your extremities (hands and feet), which act as radiators to release heat.

Warming your feet signals your body to open the blood vessels (vasodilation), which allows that heat transfer to happen. Warming your core prevents it.

That's why heated blankets or hot baths feel good but don't necessarily make you fall asleep faster—they warm the wrong area. Feet are the mechanism.

"Can I see the actual research?"

Absolutely. We're not hiding behind vague "studies show" claims.

Main studies:

  • Kräuchi, K., et al. (1999). "Warm feet promote the rapid onset of sleep." Nature, 401(6748), 36-37.
